my story

My story is a story of redemption. I was lost, broken and wandering...but God. There's not enough time in the day to tell you all the ways God has provided for me, sustained and protected me. I suspect you have a similar story. If we meet someday, we can share God's faithfulness with each other.

Steve and I have been married 27 years. We have four amazing children who continually stretch us to grow, to change and to love. This year our family added a daughter-in-law who is such a gift!

I often struggle--to keep my house clean, my weight manageable and my relationships from falling apart. Life is wonderful and messy, but God is faithful. His word and promises sustain us. I'm blessed to do life with the most amazing friends who encourage and support me!

I blog, write, and podcast for Time of Grace and speak at churches and conferences with one goal in mind: I want you to know and love God more.

*Teaching and writing Bible studies since 2004
*Taught Sunday school for 15 years (3 yr-8th grade)
*2007 "Bible Moms" was first published with VMI
*Led the Sunday school program as Sunday School Superintendent for 10 years
*2012 Published "The Whisper Theory" (Westbow)
*Started a personal blog sometime after 2010
*Blogged for Holy Hen House from 2015-2017
* 2016 Published both "Ladies of Legacy" and "The Bread of Angels" (Westbow)
*2017 Started blogging for Time of Grace
*2018 Wrote "Borderline" for Time of Grace
* Spring 2019 "Chosen For More" was published
*August 2019: recorded my first podcast for Time of Grace
*January 2020: "Little Things" first aired on Grace Talks!
*April 2020 In God's Orchard published by NPH
*September 2020: "Little Things" became its own podcast
* Speaking to women's groups around the U.S. since 2011
*November 2021 Became the cohost of "Behind the Series with Pastor Mike"
*May 2023 "Soul Care" was published by Time of Grace
